Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 3, 2026
1. Introduction
Try-It-On ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Try-It-On Chrome extension and the website tryiton.co.in. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our services.
By using Try-It-On, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from your Google account. This is used to create and identify your Try-It-On account.
2.2 Base Photo
You upload a full-body photo of yourself ("base photo") which is stored securely on Cloudinary, an encrypted cloud media platform. This photo is used solely to generate virtual try-on images.
2.3 Garment Images
When you trigger a try-on, the product image URL from the webpage you are browsing is sent to our server. We do not store these garment images — they are processed in real-time and discarded immediately after the try-on image is generated.
2.4 Usage Data
We track your try-on count to manage free and purchased try-on limits. We do not track your browsing history, web activity, clicks, or any other behavior.
2.5 Payment Information
Payments are processed through Razorpay. We do not store your credit card numbers, bank details, or any financial information on our servers. All payment data is handled directly by Razorpay under their own privacy policy.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate you and maintain your account session.
- To store your base photo for virtual try-on generation.
- To generate AI-powered virtual try-on images using your base photo and a garment image.
- To track your try-on usage and enforce plan limits.
- To send transactional emails related to your account (e.g., SSL certificate reminders — not marketing).
4. AI Image Generation
We use Google Gemini to generate virtual try-on images. When a try-on is triggered:
- Your base photo and the garment image are sent to Google's Gemini API.
- The generated image is returned to your browser and displayed.
- The generated image is never saved on our servers — it exists only in your browser session.
Google's use of data sent to the Gemini API is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
5. Data Storage & Security
- Base photos are stored on Cloudinary's encrypted cloud infrastructure.
- Account data (name, email, try-on count) is stored in a MongoDB database.
- Authentication tokens are stored locally in your browser's Chrome storage and are never shared.
- All communication between the extension and our servers is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. Your data is shared only with the following service providers, strictly for the purpose of operating Try-It-On:
- Google — for OAuth authentication and Gemini AI image generation.
- Cloudinary — for secure base photo storage.
- Razorpay — for payment processing.
- MongoDB Atlas — for database hosting.
7. What We Do NOT Do
- We do not use your photos for AI model training.
- We do not track your browsing history or web activity.
- We do not store generated try-on images.
- We do not use your data for advertising or marketing profiling.
- We do not transfer your data for creditworthiness or lending purposes.
8. Data Retention
Your account data and base photo are retained as long as your account is active. If you wish to delete your data, contact us at support@tryiton.co.in and we will delete your account, base photo, and all associated data within 30 days.
9. Children's Privacy
Try-It-On is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will delete it immediately.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of Try-It-On after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
